09.01 | Men's Cross Country, Women's Cross Country
The Webster University men's and women's cross-country teams came out on top in a dual match at Westminster College on September 1, in Fulton, MO.  The teams won the combined meet, where the men and women competed as one squad, 24-31.

09.01 | Volleyball
The Webster University women's volleyball team began its quest for a fifth straight trip to the NCAA III Tournament in 2010, by defeating the St. Louis College of Pharmacy 3-0 on September 1 at Grant Gymnasium.  The Gorloks, reloading after the loss of four starters to graduation, didn't miss a beat in sweeping the Eutectics, 25-13, 25-16, 25-9.

The Webster University men's soccer team went down to defeat in the 2010 season opener at Washington University, 7-0, on September 1.  The Gorloks, who lost seven starters to graduation and have 11 new players on the squad, had trouble finding their stride on the road vs. the Bears.

09.01 | Men's Golf
The Webster University men's golf team started off the 2010-11 season with the Gorlok Fall Opener, a tri-meet at Sunset CC on September 1.  Dan Klipsch (SO, Joliet Catholic, IL) led the Gorloks at 76, with Kaleb Kessler (FR, Sparta HS, IL) and Dan Griener (JR, Meramec CC) two strokes behind at 78.  Webster finished with a 321, one stroke behind Lindenwood-Belleville's 320.  McKendree University (IL) finished third with a 329.

All six Webster University Athletics fall sports teams start their seasons this week.  Men's and women's cross country, men's golf, men's and women's soccer, and women's volleyball all jump into action.  Five of the teams have matches on September 1, with women's soccer taking the field for the first time on September 4.

08.23 | Men's Golf
Webster University men's golf had a strong showing in the team's qualifying rounds at Sunset Country Club in St. Louis, and Roland Barkau Golf Course in Okawville, IL, on August 18, 19, and 23.  Ten Krobteeranon (FR, American School of Bangkok, Thailand) managed to edge out Kyler Scott (SO, Culver Academy, IN) and Robby Meeh (SR, Lindbergh HS, STL) for low score.  Scott and Meeh were St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference 2010 First Team All-Conference members.

Webster University women's soccer heads into the 2010 season with a balance of experienced returnees and a talented group of newcomers.  A determined and focused team looks forward to the challenges of winning the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and returning to the NCAA III Championships.
