Golf Finishes NCAA at 25th, Scott Just Misses Cut
The Webster University men's golf team finished 25th in the 2012 NCAA III Championships, on May 16, shooting a 312 second round score, and a 626 total.  The Gorloks missed the team cut to advance to the finals.  Kyler Scott (JR, Culver Academy, IN) shot a 149 total and just missed the cut for the finals for individuals.  The event was held at Howey-in-the-Hills Golf Course in Florida.

Golf Finishes Day One in NCAAs at 26th
The Webster University men's golf team finished round one in the 2012 NCAA III Championships, on May 15, at 314, landing them in 26th place.  Kyler Scott (JR, Culver Academy, IN) shot a 72 and wound up tied for ninth on the individual leaderboard in the tournament, that is being held at Howey-in-the-Hills Golf Course in Florida.

BB Beats Griffs, 14-3, SLIAC Champs NCAA Bound
Winning its third straight St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Tournament with a 14-3 win over Fontbonne University on May 12, the Webster University baseball team will make its seventh NCAA III Championships appearance in the last eight years.  Webster took control of the contest by striking early with a four-run first, then coasted to the victory at Glik Park in Highland, IL.

Jenny Howard (Duchesne HS) eclipsed two of her own marks in the Webster University track record books. running her fastest times in the 100M dash and the 200M dash, at the Dr. Keeler Invitational at North Central College in Naperville, IL, on May 11.

Golf Swings Into NCAA Championships on May 15
Final selections by the NCAA Division III Men's Golf Committee for teams and individuals to participate in the 2012 NCAA Division III Men’s Golf Championships have been completed and the Webster University golf team will tee off on May 15.  This is the third straight year the Gorloks have qualified for the Championships.

Gorloks Move Into SLIAC Baseball Final
The Webster University baseball team defeated Greenville College, 6-3, on May 11 at Glik Park in Highland, IL, on May 11, to advance to the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Tournament finals.  The Gorloks broke open the game with a three-run seventh inning and Steve Dooley (JR, Florissant Valley CC) bailed starter Issac Behme (FR, Harrisburg HS, IL) out of an eighth inning jam for his fifth save of the season.

The St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) announced the 2012 All-Conference Baseballl Team and special award winners on May 11.  The Webster University baseball team swept the individual honors.

Baseball Beats Blue Jays, 11-0, in SLIAC Opener
Backed by another dominating start by pitcher David Mueller (SR, Westminster Christian Academy), the Webster University baseball team beat Westminster College, 11-0, in the opening round of the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Tournament.  The Gorlok offense rocked Westminster pitching for 13 hits and 11 runs, while Mueller limited the Blue Jays to four hits.  The tournament is being played at Glik Park in Highland, IL.
