11.22 | Men's Basketball
The Webster University men's basketball team jumped to a half-time lead, then fell behind late in the game before mounting a last-minute comeback to defeat LaGrange College (GA), 68-67.  A three-pointer by junior Drew Moore (Northwest HS, STL) made the Gorloks first victory of 2009-10 a memorable one.

The Webster University women's basketball team defeated host Anderson University (IN), 62-54, on November 21, to take third place in the Anderson Tournament.  The Gorloks put forth a "great defensive effort throughout the game." as described by head coach Jordan Olufson, to rebound quickly from their first round loss the previous evening.

Webster University juniors Christy Capkovic (Mehlville HS, STL) and Kelsey McClure (Hickman HS, MO) were voted to the College Sports Information Directors of America 2009 Academic All-District Women's Soccer Team.  Nominees are judged on their academic prowess in the classroom, while weighing their accomplishments in their respective sport.

The Webster University women's volleyball team placed a league-high five players on the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference 2009 All-Conference Teams.  The post-season honors follow a season in which the Gorloks won a third consecutive SLIAC title, fourth straight SLIAC tournament, and finished 16-0 in the SLIAC a second year in a row.

Four freshmen Webster University cross-country runners posted personal best times in the NCAA III Midwest Regional at Winneconne, WI, on November 14.  The four who entered, two men and two women, all set season highs in the most competitive field they had seen this year.

Seventeen Webster University student athletes named to the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Fall All-Academic Team.  The men's soccer team had Webster bragging rights for the fall sports, placing six on the team.

11.15 | Women's Basketball
Gorlok fans had a fever, and a win was the only prescription.  Thanks to the women's basketball team's 67-52 victory in its home opener over Dominican University (IL) on November 15, Webster ended the weekend on a happy note.  Webster's first win in a season opener since 2003 picked up the spirits of Gorlok fans who had seen all three fall sports fall in NCAA first round action in predeeding days.
