The Webster University women's and men's track and field teams placed well in the first-ever St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference invitational, placing second and third, respectively.  The event was held at Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville, IL, on April 24.  SIU hosted a larger event, featuring NCAA I schools as well, and all SLIAC schools participated and were scored separately from the other competition.

A last minute switch found the Webster University men's and women's track and field teams in the Ozarks, instead on the Metro East, as the teams competed in the Dewey Allgood Invitational at the University of Missouri Sciences and Technology on April 17. The teams were originally scheduled to participate in a meet at SIU-Edwardsville, but when day one on April 16 was cancelled due to course conditions, Webster was squeezed out of a one-day format. Fortunately, UM-S&T welcomed the Gorloks with open arms to Rolla, MO, and they fared well in the NCAA II-only meet.
The Webster University men's and women's track and field teams participated in the Washington University Invitational on April 2-3. Webster fielded its largest contingent at a meet ever, with 18 athletes competing in 11 different events. A number of individual personal bests were achieved as the team continues its second season of competition.
