The Webster University men's basketball team had seven members named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) 2009-2010 'Honors Court,' which recognized players who excelled in academics this past year. The total of seven players tied Webster for the second highest number named for any one college in the U.S.

Whenever there was a men's or women's Gorlok basketball highlight in 2009-10, either Drew Moore's (JR, Northwest HS, STL), Katy Meyer's (JR, Parkway Central HS, STL), or Maggie Zehner's (FR, Oakville HS, STL) name didn't seem far behind. All three were honored with St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference 2009-10 All-Conference selections on February 27. Zehner was further honored by being named the SLIAC Women's Basketball Newcomer of the Year.

The roller coaster ride that was the 2009-2010 Webster University men's basketball season ended with a first-round loss in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference tournament. The Gorloks lost, 87-69, to Westminster College in Fulton, MO. Juniors Scott Restoff (Mater Dei HS, IL), and Drew Moore (Northwest HS, STL) carried the scoring load for the Gorloks with Restoff hitting 19 points and Moore 18.

The Webster University men's basketball team decided its own fate, winning at Fontbonne University, 76-63, on February 23. The win locks up the fourth, and final, St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference post-season tournament spot. A Webster loss, and a Greenville win in its final contest, would have eliminated the Gorloks, but the win against Fontbonne left no room for error. #Drew Moore# (Northwest HS, STL) scored a season-high 29 points to lead Webster.

The Webster University men’s basketball leap-frogged back into fourth-place in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, with a 55-54 win against Spalding University (KY) on February 16. With one game left on the SLIAC schedule, the Gorloks are 9-6 in the conference.

It was Senior Night, with six seniors being honored in a ceremony between the men’s and women’s contests.

The Webster University men's basketball team battled but found itself on the short end of an overtime decision, losing 88-84, at Westminster College on February 10. The Gorloks had several solid individual performances, but couldn't overcome an efficient shooting performance by the Bluejays that included a 12-24 pace from the 3-point line.
