Gorloks Down Eureka To Grab SLIAC Lead

The Webster University women’s basketball team slipped back into first-place in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference with an 80-69 win at Eureka College (IL) on February 6. The Gorloks are 10-2 in the SLIAC and pulled a half-game ahead of idle Fontbonne University. Webster is 15-6 overall, and with one more victory can match the second highest victory total in the program’s history (16). 

The Webster University women's basketball team kept a grip on first-place in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference with a 74-46 win over Greenville College (IL) at Grant Gymnasium on February 3. Webster remains tied for first with a 9-2 record in the SLIAC and are 14-6 overall. The 14 wins are the most for a Gorlok squad since 2005-06.
The Webster University women's basketball team took a break from the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference schedule, defeating St. Mary of the Woods College (IN), 72-64, at Grant Gymnasium on January 31. What looked to be a runaway win for the Gorloks became a little close for comfort.

The Webster University women’s basketball team defeated the MacMurray Highlanders, 71-49, at Grant Gymnasium on January 30. The win kept the Gorloks in a tie for first place in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference with an 8-2 record, rebounding from a tough road loss.

The Webster University women's basketball team battled back several times but couldn't overcome  Blackburn College, losing in overtime, 73-65, on January 27, in Carlinville, IL.  The loss drops the Gorloks into a first-place tie in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference race.

The Webster University women’s basketball team solidified its hold on first place in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference by beating Westminster College, 73-65, at Grant Gymnasium on January 23.  Barissa Ford (JR, Clayton HS, STL) led a first half run to pull the Gorloks even with the Bluejays, and the team took firm control in the second half to secure the win.

The Webster University women’s basketball team squeezed out a 73-63 road victory at Greenville College (IL) on January 20.  The Gorloks rebounded from their first St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference loss of the season last week, to find themselves alone in first place.
