Webster University women's basketball player #Katy Meyer# (JR, Parkway Central HS, STL) was named a Women's College Basketball 2009-10 First Team All-American by the Jewish Sports Review.  Meyer, a 5'10" forward for the Gorloks, averaged 10.9 points and 6.2 rebounds per game in the 2009-10 season.  

Whenever there was a men's or women's Gorlok basketball highlight in 2009-10, either Drew Moore's (JR, Northwest HS, STL), Katy Meyer's (JR, Parkway Central HS, STL), or Maggie Zehner's (FR, Oakville HS, STL) name didn't seem far behind. All three were honored with St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference 2009-10 All-Conference selections on February 27. Zehner was further honored by being named the SLIAC Women's Basketball Newcomer of the Year.
The Webster University women's basketball team saw its season end with a 62-54 loss to Blackburn College (IL) in the first round of the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference tournament. Webster had split with the Beavers during the regular season and both tied for second in the SLIAC with 12-4 records. Despite Webster pulling to an early 11-point lead, the Beavers gnawed back and advanced to the tournament championship with the win at Fontbonne University on February 26.

The Webster University women's basketball team turns its attention to the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference tournament after losing, 80-57, at Fontbonne University on February 23.  Junior #Katy Meyer# (Parkway Central HS, STL) provided a bright spot for the Gorloks as she scored a career high 27 points and pulled down 10 rebounds in the loss.

The Webster University women’s basketball team hit the 17-victory mark for just the third time in the program’s history with its 71-63 win over Spalding University (KY) at home on February 20. The Gorloks held onto second-place in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, at 12-3, with the win.

The Webster University women’s basketball team reached the 16-victory mark with a 75-41 win over Principia College (IL) at Grant Gymnasium on February 16. It was just the third time in the 24-year history of the program that the Gorloks have reached this plateau.  At 11-3, Webster solidified its hold on second-place in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, and is 16-7 overall.

02.10 | Women's Basketball
The Webster University women's basktball team had its run at the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference title slowed down, losing 60-47 at Westminster College in Fulton, MO, on February 10. The loss ended a four-game winning streak for Webster. The Gorloks remain at 15 wins as they seek to reach 16 wins for just the second time in the program's 24-year history.
