2009 Softball Squad Recognized as 11th Highest GPA in NCAA III

The Webster University 2009 women's softball team has been recognized as a "Girls Got Game" All-Academic Team by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association(NFCA). The Gorloks ranked 11th in NCAA Division III with a 3.38 team grade point average (GPA) for 2008-09. The award is based on GPA's for the 2008-2009 academic school year.


	Webster University Softball Alumni Game a Hit...Without Many Hits The Annual Webster University Women's Softball Alumni took place on September 19 at Blackburn Park. The alumni, behind the pitching of current assistant coach Gina Trapani, limited the current team to 5 hits and no runs, winning the game 4-0.

	WU Completes Best-Ever Softball Finish INDIANOLA, IA - With two losses to Gustavus Adolphus in the last two days, the best-ever softball run in Webster University history came to an end. The Golden Gusties scored seven runs in the fourth inning and advanced to the World Series with an 11-1 victory Sunday in the Simpson Regional finals.

Webster Softball Topples Wash U 7-2 in NCAA Tournament

(Indianola, IA) - In the battle of Big Bend which matched up the Gorloks of Webster University and the Bears of Washington University only one team could come out victories and the other would go home. To the joy of Webster and their fans, the Gorloks defeated the Bears 7-2 to advance to the championship round of the NCAA Regional.
