The Webster University women's volleyball team began its quest for a fifth straight trip to the NCAA III Tournament in 2010, by defeating the St. Louis College of Pharmacy 3-0 on September 1 at Grant Gymnasium.  The Gorloks, reloading after the loss of four starters to graduation, didn't miss a beat in sweeping the Eutectics, 25-13, 25-16, 25-9.

The Webster University women's volleyball team has been picked as the pre-season favorite for 2010 in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference coaches poll. The Gorloks won a third straight SLIAC regular season championship and a fourth straight conference tournament in 2009. The Gorloks completed a perfect 16-0 SLIAC record for the second straight year, and ended the season with a 38-game conference win streak.
The 2010 Webster volleyball squad will look to continue its domination of the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. In 2009, they won a third straight SLIAC regular season championship and a fourth straight conference tournament. The Gorloks completed a perfect 16-0 SLIAC record for a second straight year, and ended the season with a 38-game conference win streak. The team also made its fourth straight appearance in the NCAA Division III Championships.

The Webster University women’s volleyball team has been named a recipient of the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award for the second straight year.  This award honors teams who have matched their dedication to the sport of volleyball with excellence in the classroom. The Gorloks qualified by maintaining a cumulative 3.38 team grade point average for the 2009-2010 academic year.

Webster University Athletics will once again hold summer volleyball camps for high school and middle school students.  Merry Graf, Webster University Head Coach, is camp director and will be assisted by members of the women's volleyball team that recently made its fourth straight trip to the NCAA Tournament.

The Webster University women's volleyball team placed a league-high five players on the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference 2009 All-Conference Teams.  The post-season honors follow a season in which the Gorloks won a third consecutive SLIAC title, fourth straight SLIAC tournament, and finished 16-0 in the SLIAC a second year in a row.

The Webster University women's volleyball team took the #3 team in the nation, Washington University, to four games before succumbing, 3-1, in NCAA 1st round action.  The Bears lineup, with five six-footers, proved too tall of an order to handle for the Gorloks in the match, played at Washington University on November 12.
