Alex Raetzloff had two hits and three runs scored in WU's win over Principia on Saturday
(Sauget, Ill.) - The Webster Gorloks closed out its regular season with an 10-0 win over Principia on Saturday evening at GCS Ballpark in Sauget, Ill. Webster also recognized its 13 seniors prior to the game.

The Gorloks (27-13, 21-3 SLIAC) got a run in the first then added six in the second after two were retired to take a 7-0 lead. That would be all the offensive support the pitchers needed as seven hurlers combined for a one hit shutout while allowing only one walk and striking out nine in the contest.

Brett Mueller led the charge on the mound pitching a perfect first two innings recording five of the six outs by strikeout to get the win and improve to 7-0. Seniors Joe Malat, James Powell, Mike Sartore, Logan Johnson, Greg Steen and Greg Bade tossed the final five innings to earn the pitching staff's first shutout of the season.

Webster iced the game with three runs in the sixth inning to enforce the run rule. Alex Raetzloff and Dave Umfleet each had two hits leading the way for the offense finishing with 11 on the evening. In all nine players had at least one hit in the game.

The Gorloks return to action next Thursday evening in the SLIAC Tournament as the number 1 seed taking on the fourth seeded Greenville Panthers at 7 p.m. at Principia College in Elsah, Ill.
