(St. Louis, MO) – Webster University’s Andrew Fuiten and Joe Biagini have been named to the 2009 ABCA/Rawlings – All-Central Region First Team.  Craig Shaefer has also been named to the Third Team.

Fuiten, a senior from Decatur, IL, finished the 2009 campaign with 15 HR and 58 RBI while batting .390.  He is #1 on Webster’s career list in HR (27), BB (70), and AVG (.415).  Fuiten has also been named SLIAC First Team All-Conference, SLIAC Player of the Year, D3Baseball.com Honorable Mention All-American and the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Central Region Hitter of the Year.

Biagini, a freshman from Glen Ellyn, IL, finished the regular season with a .368 AVG to go with his team leading 63 RBI and 14 HR.  He was also named SLIAC First Team All-Conference.

The Webster baseball team finished their 2009 season with a record of 28-15 while going a perfect 24-0 in SLIAC regular season play.
