The Webster University men's and women’s basketball teams are hoping fans enter 'The Pink Zone' on Saturday, February 20, when they take on Spalding University (KY) at Grant Gymnasium. Along with the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), and in conjunction with the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA), "The Pink Zone" is meant to raise breast cancer awareness through women's basketball.
Fans attending the game are encouraged to show their support of the fight against breast cancer by wearing something pink. Players will be wearing pink accessories in support of the cause. Various activities, including a 50/50 raffle and a "heads/tails" game, will be held to raise funds. A speaker from the Susan G. Komen Foundation will speak briefly at halftime of the women's game.
Admission to the game is free, but donations will be accepted and all proceeds from the game will benefit the Susan G. Komen Foundation. The women's game will start at 1 p.m., with the men's game scheduled to start at 3 p.m.
Please join the Webster University men’s and women’s basketball teams on February 20 and contribute to the fight against breast cancer.
