Gorlok Campers are Happy Campers

The summer of 2010 saw another successful round of sports camps offered by various Webster University Athletics programs.  Women's volleyball, and men's and women's basketball, had the largest number of participants ever for all three sports.  The camps offer children, of a wide variety of ages, to improve their skills in a sport in a competitive but fun atmosphere.

Women's volleyball kicked off the summer on June 14-18 with 58 campers total attending the separate sessions for grade school and high school players.  This was the eighth year Webster head coach Merry Graf has directed the camp, which has seen steady growth from year to year.

The basketball camps for women and men followed on consecutive weeks from June 20-23 and June 27-30.  Webster women's head coach Jordan Olufson hosted his third camp and saw a significant jump in campers in 2010, with 43 participating.  Similarly, Webster men's head coach Chris Bunch enrolled his highest number of campers ever, with 51 boys participating.

Keep your eye open for next year's camps.  Camp dates and registration materials will be posted in spring 2011.
