The Webster University men's golf team started off the 2010-11 season with the Gorlok Fall Opener, a tri-meet at Sunset CC on September 1. Dan Klipsch (SO, Joliet Catholic, IL) led the Gorloks at 76, with Kaleb Kessler (FR, Sparta HS, IL) and Dan Griener (JR, Meramec CC) two strokes behind at 78. Webster finished with a 321, one stroke behind Lindenwood-Belleville's 320. McKendree University (IL) finished third with a 329.
The Gorloks had an interesting start to the year with St. Louis Intercollegiate Conference All-Conference performer Kyler Scott (SO, Culver Academy, IN) having to leave the match after being injured on the first hole by an errant shot. Dakota Street (SO, Eldorado HS, IL), with an 81, and Robby Meeh (SR, Lindbergh HS, STL) with an 82, rounded out the top five scorers.
