Men's Tennis - Season Outlook - 2012

The men’s tennis program is consistently one of the best in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. The men’s tennis team had record setting seasons in 2010 and 2011, finishing 12-4 and 13-6, respectively. Some other recent achievements that the men’s tennis team include:

     1. First ever back to back winning seasons in school history
     2. Broke school record for wins in 2010
     3. Broke school record for wins in 2011
     4. 25-10 record that last 2 seasons
     5. School record 7 all conference players in 2011
     6. In 2011 6 players were ITA/Scholar athlete with a gpa above a 3.5
     7. Have broken all six school records, which include most wins in school history(12), most consecutive wins(12),
         most singles and doubles wins in a year and career

The Gorloks will return 6 of its top 9 players for next season and have added a number of key recruits to help bolster the line-up. The roster includes talented players from the St. Louis area, but also features players from across the country and 2 players from Ecuador.

Webster looks to capture its first ever conference championship in 2012 and is playing another tough schedule which includes matches against D2 Maryville University, NAIA foes Lindenwood Belleville, Missouri Baptist, and other local and regional programs.

All Matches are held at Webster Groves Recreational Center. This state of the art facility features 8 courts and plays host to many ITA regional tournaments and local tournaments. The courts are operated by Webster University’s coaching staff and players.
