The Webster University Athletics Hall of Fame ceremony, originally scheduled for Saturday, October 10, 2009 has been rescheduled for Saturday, January 30, 2010.

Tom Hart, Director of Athletics, said of the new award ceremony date,  “We want to make sure we appropriately honor the inaugural inductees into the Webster University Athletics Hall of Fame. Adjusting the timing of the event allows us to highlight the individuals and accomplishments without competing against other Homecoming activities.”

The Athletic Hall of Fame was established to honor those who reflect the athletic department mission of success in the classroom, community and the competitive arena. Former players, coaches and other individuals who have made significant contributions and brought honor to the athletic program are eligible for selection to the Athletic Hall of Fame.

Alumni and fans are invited to nominate candidates for induction, with a submission deadline of October 30, 2009. A committee comprised of athletic administrators, alumni, and boosters will make the final selections.

All nominations should be submitted online at www.websterathletics.com.  Nominators are asked to supply supporting information on candidates, including honors, accomplishments and records achieved.

This year's honorees will be inducted on January 30th during half-time of the men’s basketball game agaianst MacMurray College at 3:00 pm in Grant Gymnasium on Webster University's main campus.
