The Annual Webster University Women's Softball Alumni took place on September 19 at Blackburn Park. The alumni, behind the pitching of current assistant coach Gina Trapani, limited the current team to 5 hits and no runs, winning the game 4-0.
Senior Cassie Mosier had two hits for the current Gorlok team as two senior pitchers, Megan Sperry and Lexie Moore did not allow a hit through four innings. Nine alumni players were on hand as they broke through in the fifth inning, scoring four runs.
Players, alums, and family members alike enjoyed a picnic afterward as reminisced about the many great seasons the women's softball program has had in it's brief history.
The women's softball team has fall ball games on Saturday, September 26. The Gorloks face SLCC at Forest Park at 9 am., McKendree University at 1 pm., and William Woods University at 5 pm. All games will be played at Kirkwood Athletic Association on Marshall Road in Kirkwood.
