Central Baptist Power Too Much For Gorloks

Central Baptist 10, 10, Webster 1, 0

The Webster University women's softball team ran into a tough Central Baptist College Mustang (AR) squad, losing a double-header, 10-1 and 10-0.  The Mustangs finished the day with an eye-popping 26-0 record on the still young season.

In the first game, Central Baptist connected on four home runs, and the Gorlok offense didn't have an answer as they managed one run on five hits.  Jessica Arcangel (FR, St. Lucy's Priory HS, CA) doubled home the lone Webster tally in the fourth, and Megan Sperry (SR, Clarkston HS, MI) continued her torrid 2010 hitting pace by going two for three in the game.  Arcangel had the lone Gorlok hit in the nightcap.

Webster is 5-7 overall and with the cancellation of this weekend's Webster Classic, due to the forecast of inclement weather, do not have another scheduled contest until March 26.  The St. Louis Intecollegiate Round Robin will take place in Springfield, IL on March 26-27.
