Webster's Monica Behrle was named the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference women's tennis Player of the Week, the second time this season, for the week of March 7-13. Behrle, who earned her fourth career 'Player of the Week' nod, helped the Gorloks go 4-0 for the week.
Behrle (SO, Atlanta, GA/East Paulding HS) went 8-0 on the Gorloks' spring break trip to Hilton Head, SC, including 4-0 at #1 singles. Behrle won all four singles matches in straight sets, starting with a 6-2, 6-3 win against NCAA II Kutztown University (PA). She also had wins against Carroll University (WI), Lebanon Valley College (PA), and Roanoke College (VA).
Behrle partnered with Madison Watts (FR, Rogersville, MO/Logan-Rogersville HS), to go 4-0 at #2 doubles as well, the closest match being an 8-5 win over Roanoke. Behlre has won five straight singles matches and is 8-3 on the year, all at #1. She has won five straight, and is 8-3 on the year as well, at #2 doubles.
Webster went 4-0 at Hilton Head, improving to 6-5 on the year.
