The Webster University men's baseball team completed its spring break with a 14-7 victory over Mt. Union College (OH) in Davenport, FL, on March 11. Rains cost the Gorloks their last three scheduled games in the Central Florida Invitational, and the team finished the trip at 3-2.
Aaron Senzell (SR, Harrison HS, IN) led the robust Gorlok run output, going four for five with two doubles, a triple, and four runs scored.
Dakota Huey (SR, Highland HS, IL) went two for five with a double and three RBIs and
Cody Stevenson (FR, Centralia HS, IL) was two for four with three runs scored.
Patrick Amrhein (SO, Vianney HS, STL) had the start and pitched four innings, giving up two runs on just two hits.
Bryan Stanley (SR, Larkin HS, IL) got the victory in relief, pitching two innings and giving up two runs on two hits as well.
The Gorloks return home to play four games in three days at GCS Ballpark in Sauget, IL. Webster takes on Franklin College (IN) on March 19, North Park University (IL) on March 20, and has a day/night double-header on March 21. On the 21st, Webster faces Dominican University at 10 am. and Concordia University (IL) at 7 pm that evening.
