The Webster University men's baseball team was nipped, 11-10, by Wittenberg University (OH) in Davenport, FL, on March 9.  Several players led the Gorlok offense, but the double-figure run production just fell short.

Anthony Genna (JR, Lyons Township HS, IL) led Webster with a four for six day at the plate, with three runs scored, two stolen bases, and an RBI.  Craig Schaefer continued his torrid hitting for the Florida trip, going three for five, and raising his average to .412 on the young season.  Nathan Shelton (JR, Northwest HS, STL) went two for four, with two runs scored and an RBI in the loss.

Webster is 2-2 on the season.  The Gorloks continue their spring break trip with a game against Mt. Union College (OH) on March 11, and a double-header vs. Aurora University (IL) on March 12.  Webster is playing in the Central Florida Invitational on the eight-game trip.
